Day 1: MARRAKECH
Upon arrival at Marrakech airport, transfer to the hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: MARRAKECH – M’HAMID
Transfer from Marrakech to the desert, lunch on the way, meeting with the camel team in M’hamid. Dinner and overnight at the bivouac in the desert.
Day 3: OUED BEN HAKKI – LAHNANICHE
The caravan continues its journey to Lahnaniche, passing through the old kasbah of Bonou, giving us the opportunity to visit the Kasbah of the old village where the palm grove guardians still live.
Day 4: LAHNANICHE – SIDI NAJI
The desert opens its arms to us: ergs and regs succeed each other amidst the tamaris. We see the KRAAB range located on the Algerian border. The team will set up the bivouac for the night near the tomb of SIDI NAJI, a pilgrimage site for Nouaji and Sahrawi women who wish to get married.
Day 5: SIDI NAJI – ERG ZAHAR
The caravan continues its journey to the big dunes, crossing virgin desert before arriving at the grandiose Zahar dunes to admire the sunset.
Day 6: ERG ZAHAR – LAWTID
Enjoy the whole morning of the landscape offered by the SMAR Erg, before stopping for lunch under the tall tamaris. The afternoon is marked by the crossing of the large Lawtid Reg, characterized by its very flat ground.
Day 7: LAWTID – CHEGAGA
Today we head to CHEGAGA, the largest sand dunes in the region, from where we see the sea of sand. Bivouac in the middle of this vastness. This stop marks a break in the camel trek.
Day 8: CHEGAGA
Well-deserved rest.
Day 9: CHEGAGA – OASIS OUM LAALAG
For lunch, we head to OUM LAALAG, an endless water source in the heart of the desert where you can taste the joy of refreshing yourself.
Day 10: OASIS OUM LAALAG – BOUGARNE
The caravan continues its itinerary through the stony and rocky reg.
Day 11: BOUGARNE – OUED NAAM
Once inhabited by ostriches, we reach this wadi that has kept the name of its inhabitants… (Naam = Ostriches).
Day 12: OUAD NAAM – M’HAMID
You leave Ouad Naam calmly, the walk continues through the Drâa Hamada, a vast stony (reg) desert interspersed with volcanic stones. Return in the late afternoon to M’hamid, rest and shower, dinner and night in the desert bivouac.
Day 13: MHAMID – MARRAKECH
Transfer to Marrakech, visit Tamegroute (pottery, ancient Quranic library…) lunch on the road, arrival in Marrakech in the late afternoon.
Day 14: MARRAKECH
Free day (visit).
Day 15: MARRAKECH
Depending on the departure time, transfer to the airport.
