The ascent of Morocco’s second highest peak, M’Goun, and the discovery of the red valley of Tessaout is the program we propose for a week of trekking. M’Goun and finally descend along the Tessaout river.
Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech
Airport transfer to the hotel. Dinner and night.
Day 2: Marrakech – Idoukaln (3 hours 30 minutes of walking)
8 a.m., transfer by minibus to the Ait Bougmez valley via Azilal. We meet our team. We start trekking with a walk of 3 hours 30 minutes.
Day 3: Idoukaln – Tarkedite Plateau (5 hours 30 minutes of walking)
We spend this second day of walking climbing up to the ridge of Jbel Tarkedite until we reach the door to the summit of M’Goun and p Descent to the bivouac at 2900m.
Day 4: Ascent of M’Goun (7 hours of walking / 1170m)
Day of ascent to M’Goun (4070m) for the brave and rest for the others. Arrival at the summit, the peaks of the Central Atlas. The view even extends to the Saghro and Anti Atlas ranges. Return to the bivouac.
Day 5: Tarkedite Plateau – Amezri (5 hours 30 minutes of walking)
Along a small path, we descend from the Tarkedite plateau towards the Tessaout valley. Along the way, typical Berber villages of the region built with earth, the bivouac is set up near the village of Amezri (2250m).
Day 6: Amezri – Aït Ali Nitou (5 hours of walking)
We start the descent of the lush Tessaout valley and the heights. We also cross the village of Aït Hamza. Night in a guesthouse in Aït Ali Nitou.
Day 7: Aït Ali Nitou – Marrakech
We meet the minibus that takes us back to Marrakech. Dinner and night at the hotel.
Day 8: Departure from Marrakech
Hotel transfer to the airport. (End of our services)
